Belinda Jeffrey’s young adult fiction has been shortlisted for the WA, QLD and NSW Premiers Literary Awards. Brown Skin Blue, Big River, Little Fish and One Long Thread have been acclaimed for their interesting characters and vivid description and described as quintessential Australian novels. Belinda is also an illustrator and her first picture book is, It Wasn't Me, a story of the mischievous Finnegan, told through rich, detailed collages.

Some facts about me....all but 1 are true!

I was born in South Australia.
I once feasted with the King of Tonga.
I was once a Professional Polynesian dancer.
I used to run training in alternative health practises and mind/body/spirit
At one time I was the ‘Queen of All Nations’.
I am intrigued by quantum physics insomuch as it relates to human consciousness, the biology of belief and mysteries of human intuition and spirituality.
I have two wildly wonderful boys.
In year 11 I melted the library photocopier.
I once performed in the same gaol as one that Johnny Cash performed in.
I love Johnny Cash.
My grade seven teacher thought I was mentally disabled (to be fair I did spend all day writing and writing and writing. She said I couldn’t spell or manage grammar so it was a useless endeavor) 
I love movies – Last of the Mohicans, Gladiator, Lars and The Real Girl, Chocolat – epics and brilliant literary dramas.
Goat’s Cheese makes me vomit.
I would give up most things for a damn good coffee.
My son says I obsess.
​I run every morning.
I run a company called Two Birds Creative with my BFF.
